Words&Music, Inc. Endowment Fund
In 2025, Susan and Steven Wagoner established the Words&Music, Inc. Endowment Fund administered by The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia (CFNOVA). Funds for the endowment are invested and distributed exclusively for the benefit of Words&Music, Inc. The Wagoners pledged $5,000 as a matching challenge grant in order to establish the fund. The challenge was accepted by the Words&Music, Inc. Board of Directors, and the fund was established in July, 2025.
The fund is now accepting donations from members, sponsors, patrons, friends and the general public. A gift to the Words&Music, Inc. Endowment Fund will provide the Words&Music organization with an annual source of income, as well as an opportunity to fund special projects through a grant application process.

The CFNOVA is the administrator of the fund, and can accept donations in the form of cash, stocks, bonds or other securities. They can even assist you in making a legacy to the Words&Music, Inc. Endowment Fund in your will.
During this initial year of the Fund’s fundraising efforts, all donations of $250 or more, which are received by the CFNOVA before July 29, 2026 will be acknowledged by:
Recognition as a Founding Contributor to the fund in all concert programs.
Donations of $500 or more during this initial year, which are received by the CFNOVA before July 29, 2026 will be acknowledged by:
Recognition as a Founding Contributor to the fund in all concert programs.
A pair of tickets to attend the October, May or June concert of the 2025-2026 Season.
An invitation to attend a Champagne and Cake Reception in honor of all the Founding Contributors to be held following Words&Music’s performance of DAY on June 27, 2026. (Tickets to the concert may be purchased online for those attending the October or May concerts.)
IMPORTANT: Direct your gift to the Words&Music, Inc. Endowment Fund by referencing the Words&Music, Inc. Endowment Fund on all correspondence to the CFNOVA. Gifts of any amount are welcome and are tax-deductible.
